Job requirements
Key Responsibilities
Design & Implementation
Driving design-related topics from the early stages of hardware concept development to manufacturing, parametrization and testing of BCU-based switchgear.
Develop and verify control systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality in high-voltage switchyard environments.
Configuration & Testing
Configure field control devices, including the SIPROTEC 5 series, using tools such as DIGSI 5 and CFC (Continuous Flow Chart).
Perform parametrization and testing to validate system integrity and performance.
Technical Expertise
Apply extensive knowledge of HVDC technology and AC switchyard systems for high-voltage applications.
Ensure compliance with technical standards and best practices in both AIS and GIS switchgear systems.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware design, manufacturing, and field engineers, to ensure project alignment and delivery.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in AC switchyard technology for HVDC or high-voltage switchgear systems (AIS/GIS).
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of field control devices and configuration, with expertise in the SIPROTEC 5 series.
Proficiency in DIGSI 5, CFC, and other relevant tools.
Knowledge of high-voltage protection and control systems.
Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with HVDC technology and advanced high-voltage switchgear systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for high-voltage systems.
Experience with testing, commissioning, or manufacturing of high-voltage switchgear.
