Job Description: SAP RE-FX Consultant

Engagement type: Full-time, freelance/contract, project-based opportunity
Location: Primarily remote, with occasional onsite presence for workshops or project activities
Languages: English and German (both business-fluent)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP RE-FX Consultant with strong functional and configuration expertise in SAP Real Estate Management. You will support the project in designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP RE-FX processes, with a particular focus on German VAT-related requirements. You will work closely with business stakeholders, process experts, and technical teams in an international project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement SAP RE-FX solutions in line with business requirements

• Configure and optimize Input Tax Distribution (§ 15 (4) UStG) in SAP RE-FX

• Configure and support Input Tax Correction (§ 15a UStG), including the related processes and periodic runs

• Design and support interfaces to and from external systems, such as Planon or comparable real estate systems

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications

• Support testing activities, including test case preparation, execution, and defect resolution

• Advise stakeholders on best practices and compliance-relevant aspects of RE-FX processes

• Prepare documentation, including functional specifications and configuration guides

• Support workshops with business and process experts, onsite where required

• Collaborate with technical teams on enhancements and interface requirements

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as an SAP RE-FX consultant, with strong functional and configuration knowledge in SAP Real Estate Management

• Hands-on expertise in SAP RE-FX Input Tax Distribution (§ 15 (4) UStG)

• Hands-on expertise in SAP RE-FX Input Tax Correction (§ 15a UStG)

• Proven experience with interfaces to/from external systems, ideally including Planon or comparable real estate systems

• German language skills (business-fluent), required for working with German tax and legal documentation and with German-speaking stakeholders

• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage business stakeholders, process experts, and technical teams

• Solid understanding of the integration of RE-FX with FI (e.g., FI-AA, FI-AP/AR) and related SAP modules

• Ability to work independently and in a self-organized manner in a remote setup

• Comfortable working in an international, cross-functional project environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with Service Charge Settlement in SAP RE-FX

• Experience with S/4HANA Real Estate implementations or migrations
